Selwyn’s one of the fastest-growing areas in the country and I’ve been proud to help power that growth. As a solo electrician, you’re dealing directly with me, no call centres, no middlemen. I show up when I say I will, do tidy, compliant work, and make sure you’re never left guessing. Whether it’s a heat pump, EV charger, switchboard upgrade or a few power points for the shed, I’m here to make it easy.
Servicing Rangiora, Kaiapoi, Woodend and Pegasus, we offer lighting and power solutions for home renovations, switchboard upgrades, heat pump installs, EV charger installation, rewiring, fault finding, outdoor lighting design, and small commercial electrical work.
Selwyn has grown fast, but it still feels local. From Rolleston to Lincoln and out toward the plains, you meet people who take pride in their homes and expect tradespeople who do the same. I enjoy working in Selwyn because most homes are newer, but there's still plenty of variety, whether it’s wiring up a new build, fitting EV chargers, or helping families add the finishing touches like lighting or power for outdoor areas. The work is solid, the people are straight up, and it’s great to be part of a district that’s really going somewhere.
The rock formation of Kura Tawhiti can be seen from the highway, but their size is best appreciated up close. An easy walking track takes you through open pasture to stand beneath these impressive limestone features. From here follow the network of well-worn tracks that weave through the giant stones, giving you access to all sides.
The track gradient is generally gentle, with some steep steps either side of Bridal Veil Creek. From Punchbowl car park it’s a 20 minute walk to the Bridal Veil Falls lookout through subalpine mountain beech forest and Dracophyllum to a small clearing with a picnic table, good views of the falls, surrounding peaks and Arthur’s Pass village.
Enjoy a vibrant local scene with markets across Selwyn every weekend. Highlights include the Lincoln Farmers & Craft Market, Darfield Market, Leeston Market, Prebbleton Market, Rolleston Envirotown Market, and West Melton Community Market. Shop fresh produce, local crafts, artisan foods, and enjoy friendly community vibes around the district.
